Michigan Green Schools Challenge

Is your school GREEN?  Would you like to achieve green status with recognition from the Governor of Michigan?  If your school can document 10 of the 20 points (20 Points of Michigan Green Schools) achieved over the previous year, you may be eligible.  If your school becomes an official Michigan Green School, you will receive an official certificate signed by the governor for the school year.  If your school has already been established as an official Michigan Green School status in the past, you can earn a pennant to attach to your certificate.  Green status is designated on an annual basis.  If you have not started in the previous year, you can plan for the 2010-2011 year by planning and starting implementation now.

Turn your Michigan Green Schools application in to Jamie Dean between January 1, 2011 and March 1, 2011.  Applications can be emailed to jamie_dean@monroemi.org, faxed to 734-240-7948 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            734-240-7948      end_of_the_skype_highlighting, mailed to Monroe County Health Department Attn: Jamie Dean, 2353 South Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48161, or hand delivered to the Environmental Health Division at the Health Department
